"What did you do in school today?" seems a reasonable enough question, but in fact, it's rather broad, and many children need a bit more prompting than that to be able to share the events of the day. That is why each Friday a variety of newsletters go home to offer parents a glimpse into the many exciting things that happen each week. Instead of asking "what did you do?," parents have the information to ask specific questions: "I see you made apple crisp this week! What was your job?"
