Our Kindergarten provides an interdisciplinary, active approach to learning. A challenging, supportive environment enables children to grow as confident learners. children are viewed as unique people, encouraged to develop at their own pace. Our curriculum is responsive to these individual differences. Many opportunities are presented for our children to develop strong social skills along with reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Mathematical skills are taught using a hands-on exploratory approach. Science and Social Studies units provide an exciting base for all academic areas, using a child's natural interests in their own world. We believe that a mixture of small group, large group and individual instruction meets our students' needs, helping them learn "how to learn" while promoting a lifelong love of learning! This can be seen by the excitement and enthusiasm of our Kindergarten classes each and every day. We hope these few pictures give you a glimpse into our wonderful Kindergarten program. |
