Our Nursery and Pre-K program offers a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Through active participation, using all five senses, our 3-& 4 year-olds develop an understanding of their world. Preschoolers learn through play. Play is the preschooler’s “academics”. Our program provides quality play through open-ended materials which encourage creativity, unhurried time to explore the environment and nurturing adults who listen to and ask questions of children. Language and social/emotional development is emphasized in the early childhood classroom. Language is encouraged through conversation, listening, dramatic play, creative self-expression, music and the art process. Social/emotional development is promoted through peer interaction, role-modeling by experienced teachers and opportunities to make independent choices. Our experiential curriculum stimulates enthusiasm for learning that will last a lifetime. |
