Meeting for Worship

Recent Queries

The way we acted at the International Feast was exceptional.  The International Feast brought us together as a community.  How can we act like that every day?

Mr. Belle says "Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is looking".  How can we speak and act with integrity toward each other?

If it weren't for martin Luther King Jr., we wouldn't be in this school together.  We should be thankful for what he did because it changed our lives, because he tried, he helped change the laws, he had a dream and he pursued that dream for peace.  How can we show that world that peace is the way; that peace is the way in our own lives?

How can we each set goals for ourselves, that will help make us grow, but also help our family and school community?  Give an example of how you might take a step toward achieving such a goal.

This week's Meeting for Worship opened with an advice from Student Council.  A query to think about was also added:

Please share something that you really mean.  We say a lot of things in Meeting for Worship that we don't mean, or that we forget about.  Really think about it and say what you mean.  We should help each other follow through with our ideas.

How can we help keep our classrooms and the whole school a safe and good place to be?

Why do you feel good when you include new people into your group, game or activity?

How can we welcome new students into our Westbury Friends School community?

How can we be more helpful to people who are less fortunate than ourselves?

We can all think of how we can help people less fortunate than us, but we would like to know what you will do to really help out this holiday season.
