Westbury Friends Meeting House is a place of simplicity and dignity, where each individual can worship through the Quaker philosophy of “that of God in every person,” as well as the testimonies of integrity, simplicity, equality, community, and peace. The shared silence that permeates each Meeting allows new opportunities for personal insights. Individuals are able to speak as they feel the need, sharing their thoughts and observations with the entire Meeting. Those who wish to keep private counsel are free to do so.
Each Friday the Westbury Friends School students and staff attend their own Meeting. Parents and other family members are welcome to participate. The Meeting House also provides a more formal meeting place for special occasions, such as Moving Up Day. The Meeting House and its spiritual dimensions provide strong principles that are used each day in the program of Westbury Friends School.
